INSURAL 3000 Mastic Sealing Compound

INSURAL™ 3000 mastic sealing compound provides an airtight seal between the cathode bar and the end of the cathode, significantly reducing oxidation of the cathode.

INSURAL 3000 also acts as a compressible seal to close gaps in an anode baking oven between the oven’s long and short walls.

Advantages

• Asbestos free and non-wetting
• Excellent adhesion to fireproof materials
• Once spent, the material is easy to remove
• May be compressed without cracking
• Prevents anode oxidation in the bake oven by preventing penetration of air
• Easy to apply by hand or with a trowel
• Recommended maximum operating temperature 2012°F (1100°C)
