Fluxes for Metal Cleaning / Injection
Flux plays an important role in the processing of molten metal. For example, cover flux coats the surface of the molten aluminium to decrease the formation of surface oxides. Drossing flux reacts with the surface oxides to release trapped metal back to the melt. Degassing by itself or in combination with flux injection, removes hydrogen, oxides and other impurities, then floats them to the surface. Wall cleaning flux softens oxide built-up for easy removal.
