Pyroflux 320
Injectable Drossing Flux for Aluminium Alloys, Except High Magnesium Alloys
This flux was developed to enhance the performance and reliability of the popular rotary flux / degassing injection systems, resulting in lower scrap rates and lower melt treatment costs. It is designed for use with most casting alloys, with the exception of alloys having high magnesium content.
Temperature Range
- Use in temperatures higher than 1340ºF (727ºC) are recommended for processing efficiency.
Flux Features
- Designed for a very specific metal temperature, rotor speed and purge gas pressures.
Use in temperatures lower than 1340ºF (727ºC) will reduce efficiency.
Physical Properties and Blend Variations
- Pyroflux 320 is a beige-white powder flux containing sodium chloride, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, calcium fluoride and sodium silicofluoride.
- It has the addition of potassium sulfate to support higher temperature applications. It allows the flux to fire in alloys pouring at higher temperatures.
