SIVEX Filter Preheat Unit
The SIVEX® Filter Preheat Unit is a flameless mobile preheating unit designed for easy and rapid preheating of SIVEX molten metal filters. The preheating system can also be fixed to a floor or wall according to customer specifications.
The preheat unit is particularly beneficial for the efficient preheating of fine pore filters. Correct preheating is essential for ensuring proper priming and optimal inclusion removal.
The SIVEX Filter Preheat Unit reduces preheat time, up to five times faster than other methods in some applications. In addition, the unit uses a flameless, hot air heating system, incorporating a specially designed burner nozzle which offers a safer preheat without spalling or damaging the filter and refractories of the filter bowl.
