DYCOTE® E 36 has been blended specially for use on aluminium foundry ingot molds. This coating blend includes minute particles of graphite to provide a very smooth ingot surface.
A special high-temperature binder is incorporated in DYCOTE E 36. The rating of this binder allows it to support application temperatures of up to 660–750°F (350–400°C). This special binder is very resistant to metal erosion and also provides for long coating life. A typical recoating cycle is one week.
