SORBERFLEX®

SORBERFLEX® is a composite sandwich material comprising of a flexible high mass noise barrier, based on Wavebar® technology, laminated between two layers of flexible acoustic foam. Both the decoupling foam and absorptive layer are composed of Pyrotek’s SORBERFOAM® combustion modified, polyether polyurethane foam that provides excellent hydrolysis resistance. This foam is especially suited for use in wet and humid areas, such as boats or tropical environments.

The construction of SORBERFLEX increases overall transmission loss through the use of the decoupled barrier and provides a high degree of sound absorption thereby reducing reverberant noise levels.
