Pocket Designs and Materials

A lightweight design, incorporating the latest technology in low maintenance stacker bars to allow for quick-change of individual pockets which are held tight during operation by Pyrotek's proven single pin fastening system. This system reduces the chance of parts vibrating loose by eliminating the need for any tedious nuts, bolts, rivets, or other common causes of pocket replacement. Glass contact pad materials can be affixed directly to the face of the unique Pyrotek holders. Holders can also be slotted and fit with a machined triangular or pocketed glass contact insulator insert. A variety of standard holder/insert options are available to accommodate most container sizes, types and center spacing. All aluminium insert holders are constructed of the highest grade, specially-treated, aerospace aluminium alloy for maximum retention of strength at high temperatures.

Fixed Welded Pockets

In this basic design steel angles or custom contoured pockets are welded directly to the support bar. The welded construction of this design does not allow for individual pockets replacement (in the case of pocket damage.)

Insulating Pads - P-25W

Pyrotek's P-25W Carbon/Carbon Composite materials are made from a unique process whereby carbon is reinforced with carbon fibers. Both materials provide a non-checking surface with a long life span making them excellent for any hot glass contact application. Typical uses for P-25W include stacker bar inserts, sweep-outs and transfer paddles for the glass container industry. Both materials are also used for a multitude of specialty glass applications.
