Topex Hot Top Powders

Topex granular powders are used on hand, and autopour ladles as a heat generating and insulating compound. The covering helps to extend metal solidification time, increasing ladle efficiency and providing better directional solidification. To ensure the maintenance of metallurgical standards, Topex exothermic/insulating coverings are non-metal producing and available in the formulations below.

Applications

• Topex 4S:  An exothermic compound formulated specifically for aluminium and aluminium alloys
• Topex 6:    A carbon-free exothermic powder for steel, iron and copper alloys
• Topex 7:    An insulating powder
