Quick Refining Plunger "QRP"
Pyrotek’s Quick Refining Plunger (QRP) is an economical and easy to use graphite device designed specifically for injection of fluxes or refining agents into small and medium sized crucible and holding furnaces, as well as transfer ladles. The flux or refining agent is simply wrapped in heavy gauge aluminium foil and inserted into the QRP plunger cup.
The patent pending QRP then uses process gas flow to facilitate mixing of the flux or refining agent with the metal bath. Designed for use with Pyrotek's "Type 4 Flux Tube" with 1-1/2" NPT threads.
