This product is a metal reinforced graphite laminate supporting material grades GHJ (Grade 1) and GHA (Premium Nuclear Grade).
Flexible graphite is constructed with two outer layers of flexible graphite having a center core of stainless steel mesh. The illustration shows these layers. Metal reinforced laminates have leaktight sealability over extended periods of time and service temperature.
Flexible graphite materials maintain an effective gasket seal with virtually no creep relaxation, greatly reducing the need for periodic bolt tightening.
