L-45CGI Compact Gas Injection Pump

The L-45CGI compact gas injection pump was designed with one objective in mind - to build the most economical, reliable, gas injection/circulation pump possible for the secondary smelting industry. After 18 months of field experience and refinement, we believe the L-45CGI offers the best combination of economy and performance ever achieved for this application.

Best Economics for the Secondary Smelter
Metaullics commitment to partnering with our customers has led to the development of the L-45CGI to deliver the lowest cost per pound, highest production and optimum recovery rates for secondary smelters!

Competitive pricing and long life of the key components ensure that a gas injection pump will be economical. By standardizing on one pump for the secondary smelting industry parts can be made in volume at competitive prices.

Metaullics has always set the standard for the life of parts but now Metaullics has gone even further by guaranteeing the life of the L-45CGI base for one year. Except for physical abuse, we will prorate the replacement cost of any base that does not last at least a year.

All other graphite components are made with Metaullics ZX treated graphite, the best oxidation resistant graphite in the industry. Standard components are coated with proprietary refractory cements or sleeved with ceramic sleeves to extend life even further.

In operations where physical abuse and breakage are not common, a full range of optional, upgraded designs and materials are available to extend the time between maintenance even further.

Metaullics L-45CGI pumps are shipped fully assembled with guaranteed alignment and Quality Assurance traceability of both component and assembly dimensions and tolerances.


Pump Performance That Can't Be Beat
Metaullics has always performed rigorous tests both in the lab and in the field to determine what you can expect from our equipment. Performance curves are based on actual test data, and if its done in the lab, it's verified in the field in operating conditions.

Options
The L-45CGI gas injection pump has been designed specifically for the demands of the secondary smelter. In its standard configuration it will easily outperform any of its competitors. However, in some applications, performance can be improved further with the use of optional features.

MAC Sleeves for Posts and Shaft/Impeller Assemblies
MAC is a fine grained, high performance ceramic which outperforms standard silicon carbide sleeves in strength and thermal shock resistance. As a result of its high density it is also an excellent oxygen barrier for the graphite it protects. This ceramic is manufactured exclusively by Metaullics for this demanding application, and will extend the life of graphite components significantly where oxidation, not mechanical breakage, is the primary failure mode.

High Performance Base Bearing Rings
In applications with expectionally high levels of certain alloy elements, sand, or other impurities such as fine drosses, high performance ceramic bearings are available. These rings utilize a fine grained, silicon carbide and are only available from Metaullics. Bearings can also be supplied with extra clearance to accomodate special applications.
