Simon Taberham

In 1984, Simon was taken on as an apprentice refractory brick setter. Following his three year apprenticeship, he then worked for a further two years as a site supervisor/foreman brick layer. In 1989, he decided to move to Bahrain to run major refractory projects in the expanding Middle East market and to broaden his refractory and business experience.
After spending six years in Bahrain, Simon returned to TAB Refractories in 1996 to reshape and refocus the company on its core competence, aluminium furnace linings. He has subsequently established TAB South Africa and TAB Australia to enable TAB to service the global aluminium market.
